The Kyota Hatsumei M900 AI 4D and Yutaka M898 4D both currently cost $4,999 on our website. The most useful first difference is fit: their published user-height ranges are not the same. Their dimensions, controls, and foot-roller arrangements also differ.

Hatsumei M900 vs. Yutaka M898

Let user fit narrow the choice

For a shorter adult, Hatsumei’s lower starting height recommendation makes it the more relevant candidate of these two to investigate. For someone above 6 feet 2 inches, Yutaka is the only one of this pair whose published height range extends higher.

Within the overlapping range, compare seat depth, hip width, shoulder width, and footrest adjustment. A wider dimension in one area does not make a chair universally roomier. Neither a body scan nor a listed height range guarantees that a chair will feel right to every user.

Check the width and reclining space separately

Hatsumei is listed as three inches narrower overall when upright. Yutaka has a one-inch shorter listed reclined depth. That means the better room fit depends on your layout, not just which chair looks smaller in a photo.

Choose features you will actually use

Hatsumei offers more automatic programs and an AI custom massage generator. Yutaka adds wireless phone charging and a quick-access joystick. Both offer adjustable 4D massage, but a higher program count does not establish a better massage for every user.

The dual-versus-triple foot-roller distinction is another feature to compare. Roller count alone cannot tell you which sensation you will prefer. Watch the manufacturer demonstrations and ask about the settings available on each model.

Standard curbside/driveway delivery is included within the contiguous United States and Washington, D.C. Threshold delivery to the first dry room is an optional $250 upgrade.
